Description
The flow visualization water tunnel (Model 503, Engineering Lab Design) at Oklahoma State University can achieve speeds to 1.1 m/s. The test section is 1 m long with a 300 mm by 300 mm square cross section. The test section walls are all acrylic for optical access, as well as downstream of the test section to enable viewing from downstream. The maximum speed of 1.1 m/s is achieved with two centrifugal pumps controlled by independent variable frequency drives.
